The following is a visual tour of the Gotisches Haus (Gothic House) Hat Museum, Bad Homburg vor der Höhe, Germany. The main theme of the museum is the historic "Homburg Hat" which Edward VII brought back to England and made world famous. I would like to thank the museum curators for allowing me access to their amazing collection. I highly recommend a visit to Bad Homburg vor der Höhe (a beautiful historic spa / casino town just north of Frankfurt) and especially to the Gotisches Haus (Gothic House) Hat Museum.

The Homburg Hat

On the left is Edward VII King of England wearing an original Homburg Hat. The hat directly below is a reproduction of the hat he is wearing in the photo. The museum doesn't have any original Edward VII style PH. Möckel Hutfabrik Homburg Hats in their collection(not sure if any exist). On the right is Konrad Adenauer first Chancellor of West Germany who was famous for wearing a Homburg Hat. The hat directly below is his Homburg Hat and the prize of the collection.

Turns out it's a well worn P. & C. Habig Wien that he purchased at Hellings Bonn. His initials (Dr. K. A.) are on the sweatband.
