Wegener "Seal", 60 cm, Open Crown 6 inches, Brim 2 1/2 inches probably mid 1950s. I don't believe this one had a liner so missing the crown patch. The Felt is a very nice Gray color with a fantastic Chamois finish.

Here are a couple photos of me wearing it outside. I think it looks better in sun light.

Wegener "Super", 60cm possibly late 1950s early 1960s. This is a really nice later Homburg that is in great condition. R. & M. Wegener made great Homburgs and their dressing department was one of the finest.

I have an interesting + old Stiff Felt from Henrich Klipper Offenbach a. M. that you can see more about here.

R. & M. Wegener, 58cm possibly late 1920s. I was happy to find this hat because pre WWII R. & M. Wegener Soft Felts are a rare find. I have one other so this makes two and there are no others here. The felt color and finish are fantastic, same with the form and dressing. Unfortunately the paper label is missing but there is a small size tag. The previous owner of the hat was Oswald Täsler, born November 11, 1889 in Silesia.

Wegener "Cornett", 58cm early 1950s. Great form with extreme rear brim flange. The medium weight smoother finish felt is a rich brown and easily dry creases. Also a unusual + effective ribbon width.

Wegener "Extra", 58 cm, possibly later 1940s early 1950s.  I tend to think this one is older because of components.  The felt is great and easily dry creases.  There are some issues due to wear but nothing too bad.

Wegener "Start", 58 cm, possibly late 1920s early 1930s.  Over Welt Curled Brim with Back Bow. There might be some wool in the felt mix.  A mix of colors with rougher clip but a very soft hand. There is some wear but still in very good condition with all original components including the crown patch.  I only have two other old Wegener Soft Felts so a rare find.

The paper label is similar to this Wegener "Elasticon" Stiff Felt that belongs to Robert (RLK).

Could be in Zoll vs. Inches.

Wegener "Em / 7", 58cm, Brim 2 1/4 inches, Crown Open 5 1/2 inches, 3.00 ounces, NOS condition, possibly late 1930s early 1940s.  The greenish blue felt is very light weight  and pliable. "Em / 7" might be related to the felt weight.  The bow design, form and dimensions are very similar to some later 1930s and early 1940s German market hats. Also the sweatband seam and ribbed ribbon bow design are similar to WWII era and older Wegener Hats.

Hut - Braun, Peter Braun (est. 1598) is still in business but not at the address on the hat (Bahnhofstr. 16.) which adds mystery to the dating.  I will have to see if I can find why this is the case.

Wegener "Extra", 58 cm possibly mid to later 1950s.  This hat belongs to Stefan on the FL.  Here is his description.  "Wegener Extra unlined in the colour Sylt. Size 58 with the bound brim at 7cm and the crown at 11cm at the center dent. Weighs 114 grams. I don't see that many unlined hats and certainly not by Wegener. The colours are great as well with the contrasting ribbon and brim binding, so I picked it up, even if it isn't my size. Sold by Hut Wagner, Bahnhofstrasse 21, Limburg."

Wegener "Luxor" "Manhattan", 58 cm, possibly very early 1960s very late 1950s.  I picked this up because it was NOS, an interesting model name and has major (over welt) brim flange. The felt has a great finish and color.  Also very pliable so easily dry creases.

Wegener "Extra", 58 cm, probably early 1950s.  The Felt has a great finish and easily dry creases.  The paper label is missing but there was 1953 newspaper spacer behind the Sweatband.  The Liner has piping which I haven't seen on a Wegener.  The Wegener stamp on the Sweatband is also  unique.
