Restored version of the Halban & Damask Wien Hat Display stand. It is made of brass with a copper finish. There were some scratches on the copper finish that couldn't be fixed but I think it looks nice plus very unique. At least I haven't seen anything like it. Probably from just before WWI so displayed with a period Hückel Melone.

What is interesting is the company that made the stand TH Hausermann & Co. is still in business today making specialized printed circut boards.

I was able to find some Hungarian newpaper ads from the 1920s that mention KuK Hof Hutfabrikten Halban & Damask Wien but nothing else.

Halban & Damask Velour, 58 cm possibly 1920s.  This is the first soft felt Halban & Damask Wien soft felt I have encountered and it was an export to Norway.  This rare find was made back in 2012 by FL member Qirrel (see above).  I would like to thank Garrett for letting me know that it had come up for auction on Ebay.
