  1. Johann Hückel´s Söhne Super Sport Trachten style hat. This is one is old and very rare. The first I ever saw of Trachten style from JHS. I didn't bid on it because of the small size and high starting price but it is surely worth posting. It has to be at least 1930s maybe older.
  2. Echter Borsalino Homburg, size 6 Punti. I am thinking very early 1950s on this one. The sweatband has some cracking issues and was cut down so might get it replaced and have the trolley cord fixed. Other than that it is in decent shape.
  3. Maysers silk Top Hat (Zylinderhut) size 59cm arrived yesterday. It has some wear but not bad for the price plus rarity. This is the first pre WWII Mayser hat (of any type) I have encountered. I am thinking this one is early 1900s. The "Form:" on the paper label is "1915" which might be the production year. The box is in very poor condition but original.
  4. Old (1900?) P. & C. Habig hat box (not mine).
  5. This beautiful Mayser (size 58cm) belongs to RLK (Robert) on the FL. I am thinking late 1950s very early 1960s.
  6. 1950s Rockel "Etui" size 58cm. This rare beauty belongs to RLK on the FL.
  7. Dark Navy Blue P. & C. Habig, 6 7/8, probably early 1980s. Belongs to Kurt on the FL. [/
  8. Ottmar Reich Boater that measures around 59cm (1963) and in super condition. Ottmar Reich (and this area of Germany) were known for producing straw hats. I really like the ribbon/bow work on this one. Great overall workmanship.
  9. Fritz Hückel Hutmacher Zephyr Seal Velour probably mid to late 50s and out of Weilheim, Bavaria. This doesn't match the amazing velour finishes as pre 1940 Hückels but the overall quality is super high (unfortunately some moth damage). Natural Light
  10. My contact is someone I bought from in the past. He specializes in Toppers and Bowlers. I will ask him if he has any in 60cm available. I would also look around at antique malls in your area. I found this really nice size 7 3/8 Stetson Bowler + original box at an antique mall 2 miles from my house! My link
  11. I got that one on Germany eBay. The seller was out of Saxony. My guess is the hat company is also from that general area. I have a source in Germany for vintage Bowlers. Are you interested in size 59cm? The linked Bowler is modern and doesn't have the brim curl and construction methods you see in vintage city Bowlers. The early 1960s is the cutoff point for Bowlers.
  12. Probably early to mid 1950s (after JHS was nationalized as TONAK) like new condition Hückel Zypher Seal Velour. It is an amazing hat but it appears the brim was cut to a smaller size. Hard to believe someone would do such a thing. The ribbon/bow, liner and sweatband work are fantastic. It was imported by Saltz's of Washington, DC which is added bonus since I live in the area.
  13. This is the first paper Hückel Hatbox (displays a simple elegance) I have come across. It has is a protective felt layer around the top part of the inner cylinder. Shown with here with my Hückel Plume Melone.
  14. This size 7 Böhm belongs to Mobile Vulgus on the FL. I am thinking late 1950s for this beauty.
  15. This beautiful like new 1960 P. & C. Habig Zefir belongs to RLK on the FL.
  16. Made by C. W. N (from paper label) and measures around 58cm. I am pretty sure this is a wool hat but it has a totally different feel from modern wool hats. The cord is detached and there is some damage to the liner but not bad for an such an old one (probably early 1900s). There is some writing in the front of the sweat that I can't make out.
  17. No info on company. I think this company is most likely from Brandenburg or Saxony.
  18. Restored version of the Halban & Damask Wien Hat Display stand. It is made of brass with a copper finish. There were some scratches on the copper finish that couldn't be fixed but I think it looks nice plus very unique. At least I haven't seen anything like it. Probably from just before WWI so displayed with a period Hückel Melone. What is interesting is the company that made the stand TH Hausermann & Co. is still in business today making specialized printed circut boards. http://www.haeusermann.co.at/1,about/10,History/16,A-future-based-on-Experience I was able to find some Hungarian newpaper ads from the 1920s that mention KuK Hof Hutfabrikten Halban & Damask Wien but nothing else.
  19. k.u.k. The Blumenstock and Halban milliner families The founder Philipp Blumenstock (1840-1907) https://www.karinkiradi.at/2022/06/09/k-u-k-hutmacherfamilie-blumenstock-bzw-halban/
  20. Negretti Adonis Bowler (Melone). Probably early 1900s and from Brandenburg or Saxony. Measures around 59cm but looks like it was stretched. Turns out Negretti is a type of wool (see below). Very nice quality.
  21. No info available. Just a trademark.
  22. Hückel Plume Melone probably 1930s and in great condition. Unique / beautiful liner.
  23. Some late 1950s Mayser magazine ads.
  24. This very unique Mayser ashtray turned out to be high quality. The drawings were done by Marga Trautloft - Mayser. Not sure if she was a designer or the time period although it has an old vintage feel. Here is some info courtesy of Stefan / Steur on the FL. Her name is Marga Trautloft and she was born Marga Mayser on 18th june 1913 as a daughter of Alfred Mayser and Helene Mayser. She was married to Johannes "Hannes" Trautloft (1912-1995), a high ranking Luftwaffe pilot and officer in WWII. Marga died 04th june 1998. She's buried in Waldfriedhof Solln near Munich along with her husband. On the gravestone she's listed as "kostumbildnerin" (costume designer).
