habigman
This could be Max Wiese Herrenhüte G.m.b.H, Berlin - Steglitz, Hubertusstrasse 10. The letters line up and location fits but the later M.W. hats have M.B.W. on the paper label.
habigman
M.W.B. Stolzf. Luxury Velour, Stone Gray, measures 58cm, 2 3/8 inch brim, 5 1/2 inch open crown, very good condition, probably 1930s. I have been looking for one of these shiny gray Velours in my size for a long time. The Velour is really fantastic on this one! I am not familiar with the company initials but I was able to find information on the Berlin store (Leineweber) it was made for. Bernward Leineweber, Berlin C Alter Köllnischer Fischmarkt, 1900 Bernward Leineweber, Berlin C Alter Köllnischer Fischmarkt, 1935 The building (Derfflingerpalais) was destroyed in 1944 and demolished in 1959.
