habigman Posted March 6, 2021 Author Report Posted March 6, 2021 Echter Nobleza Velour, 58 cm, possibly mid to later 1950s. No paper label but W. & G. Schuchard trademark. The Velour is really fantastic (color + hand) and is similar to Seal Velour finish wise. I had a very hard time trying to photograph this hat. Open Crown Natural Light Quote

habigman Posted March 2 Author Report Posted March 2 W. & G. Schuchard "J. Harris & Co. Strand 32 London", 58 cm, possibly later 1950s. W. & G. Schuchard were a Wholesaler, Distributor out of Giessen, Lahn, Germany. Matt on the FL was very kind to send this hat to me as exchange for a smaller hat that I had mistakenly purchased from a seller that wouldn't ship outside of Germany. The black Felt is really fantastic and easily dry creases. Also has great form and top quality construction. Using an English theme was common in this time period. Natural Light Quote
habigman Posted May 11 Author Report Posted May 11 W. & G. Schuchard "Flexa" made by Hückel Weilheim, 57 cm possibly early 1960s. I believe this is the first for sure Hückel Weilheim Original Manufactured hat. "Flexa" is probably short for "Flexible" which is a common Hückel trademark going back to JHS. The "Saale" Form might have a been W. & G. Schuchard request. W. & G. Schuchard was a well known wholesaler / distributor going back to 1879. The black Felt has a nice smooth finish with a very fine hand. The overall quality is high with Hückel Weilheim features such as gold embossed liner and hanging cord. Natural Light Quote
