habigman Posted September 13, 2010 Author Report Posted September 13, 2010 Restored version of the Halban & Damask Wien Hat Display stand. It is made of brass with a copper finish. There were some scratches on the copper finish that couldn't be fixed but I think it looks nice plus very unique. At least I haven't seen anything like it. Probably from just before WWI so displayed with a period Hückel Melone. What is interesting is the company that made the stand TH Hausermann & Co. is still in business today making specialized printed circut boards. http://www.haeusermann.co.at/1,about/10,History/16,A-future-based-on-Experience I was able to find some Hungarian newpaper ads from the 1920s that mention KuK Hof Hutfabrikten Halban & Damask Wien but nothing else.
