  4. Brüder Böhm, 1931 Pocket Calendars, 9.5 cm X 7 cm, top in German and bottom in Czech. I actually received the Czech one as gift during my recent visit to Novy Jicin and I purchased the German one prior to leaving on the trip (arrived by mail during my absense) so an amazing coincidence.
  5. C. G. Wilke Hutfabrik, Guben N.-L., 1822 - 100 - 1922, 41 cm x 21.5 cm, for 100 Year Anniversary. (Click On Images For Full Size)
  6. My friend that is the senior portrait engraver at the U.S. BPG printed these on an Intaglio press (the stamp was for Letter press) yesterday so really nice. They are for the JHS Tonak 220 Year Anniversary celebration September 6th and 7th in Novy Jicin, Czech Republic. I will be flying out this evening. If you click on the photo it might enlarge. Here is the stamp we used which is early 1900s prior to WWI.

  21. Vereinigte Hutwerke Guben / VHG possibly 1950s. This hat belongs to Chris on the FL.
  22. Emil Seeling Neudamm** "Bellona", 58 cm, Back Bow, Crown Open 6 inches, Brim 2 3/4 inches, possibly later 1920s. The black Wool felt easily dry creases and has a nice glow. I have few of these old Wool hats with similar paper labels but I believe this is the oldest. The Crown Patch is missing. I wasn't able to take very good photos so I will take some wearing it outdoors. This could be a Sheep surrounded by an "F" and a "S" so possibly Friedrich W. Schneider Köln. Open Crown Natural Light ** Emil Seeling Neudamm, Wholeseller. I purchased the Hat almost 3 years ago but I wasn't able to make the connection at that time which has happened before. Neudamm was part of Germany up to 1945 / the end of WWII when it became part of Poland and was renamed Dębno. Neudamm / Dębno is a fairly short distance from Guben, Germany which was the largest Hat and Felt production center in Germany up to WWII. Based on the Hat's Paper Label the Factory that made it was probably Berlin Gubener Hutfabrik / Factory so it makes sense that a wholesaler would be in the same general area. I also found the Brand / Mark in "Warenzeichenblatt / Trademark Sheet, Volume 32 , 1925, Publisher Wila-Verlag für Wirtschaftswerbung". This publication is also a great find regarding pre WWII German Brand / Mark search. I also found the Brand / Mark in "Warenzeichenblatt / Trademark Sheet, Volume 32 , 1925, Publisher Wila-Verlag für Wirtschaftswerbung". This publication is also a very important find regarding pre WWII German Brand / Mark search.
  23. Mayser "Diadem", 55 cm probably later 1930s. This amazing + rare pre 1940s Mayser Velour belongs to Garrett on the FL. I came across this hat on German Ebay and I let Garett know about it. Luckily he decided to buy it even though it was one below his hat size. Natural Lighting
  24. Mayser "Superbe", 59 cm, possible date stamp of June 3, 1950. Great felt, dressing and form. Open Crown Natural Light
