Tonak "Brillant", 58cm probably mid to later 1950s. The Velour has a fantastic finish and easily dry creases. The liner has a blue tint which makes me think the felt color could be more of a dark blueish black. This hat was made for the Czechoslovakian market.

Borchert Berlin W. "Federleicht/Feather Light" possibly very early 1960s. The felt is light in weight with a very soft hand. This form and ribbon / bow work was popular in the late 1950s into the early 1960s. Based on the paper label format Borchert Berlin W. sourced this hat from Mayser.

Hückel Weilheim "Derby", 58cm, possibly late 1950s. Great form and the felt finish is fantastic. Also near mint condition.
-
Mayser "Superbe", 60cm, possibly early 1950s. The felt is is very soft and the brim is less stiff so not like a typical Mayser Homburg.

The following hats that belong to Tonio have an additional "Campione/Sample" Paper Label on the sweatband with "Refer.", "Modello.", "Colore.", "Feltro." and "Qualita." entries. The "Modello." and "Colore." entries are also referenced on the Celled Paper Label.Borsalino Qualità Superiore(?) "Minetta" "Calabrese", U.S. Size 7 3/8, American Market. The "Modello./Model" is the upper left cell of the paper label. The "Colore./Color" is the lower left cell. I will have to see if I can find these two "Modello./Model" numbers in the old Borsalino documents.Borsalino Qualità Superiore "F" "Georgette", French Size Point 5 1/2, Italian Market. What is interesting is the "Feltro/Felt. Charlait" is the same for both the Soft Felt and the Stiff Felt. I couldn't find anything specific regarding "Charlait" and felt but the term was also used by French Hat companies. Borsalino still uses the term "Charlait" today but appears it to be a model type or style.

I found that there are two Celled Paper Label types.
Type 1 (Sweatband Date Stamped 05/17/1929)
Type 2 (No Date)
Type 2 is slightly longer and less wide than Type 1. The Type 2 cell size and alignment are also different. The Type 2 dimensions are more similar to later non celled paper labels. Sometime during the 1930s the Celled Paper Labels were dropped. I am not sure how far back the Celled Paper Labels go.
The following are the Celled Paper Label Borsalinos I found in the Borsalino Brotherhood. Unfortunately some of the photos are lacking in quality.
Echter Borsalino "Fico" "Lama", French Size Point 6, date stamped May 18, 1929, German Market.

Windsor, 60cm, possibly late 1950s. I really like the hat form and felt is very dense plus easily takes side dents. I was hoping to find some clue regarding the Windsor trademark but the paper label has no company information.

Aurel Huber Strohhut Fabrik, Filz Hutfabrik
in German Hat Companies
Posted
Aurel Huber "Antilope", 59cm possibly mid 1950s. I have been looking for an older Aurel Huber for a long while. They were originally a famous Straw Hat Factory in Lindenberg, Germany (see Mayser Milz & Cie, Ottmar Reich, ect). I think they started Felt Hat production prior to WWII but really increased production + added felt production post WWII. Many ex J. Hückel´s Söhne (Czechoslovakia) ended up working for Aurel Huber post WWII. I am not sure why it's so difficult to find older Aurel Huber hats but this one is fantastic. The Antilope finish is great and the felt easily dry creases. I am not sure if the vents are original but they lineup properly so highly possible.
