  1. Deutsche Industrie, size 54cm, from the Gotisches Haus (Gothic House) Bad Homburg , Germany hat collection, probably early 1900s. I am not sure of the maker but it's really fantastic.

  3. PH. Möckel Hutfabrik, Homburg vor der Höhe Velour, from the Gotisches Haus (Gothic House) Bad Homburg , Germany hat collection, probably 1920s maybe earlier. PH. Möckel made the original Homburg hat for Edward VII. This is the only soft felt I have encountered so a rare one. With a good brush and steam it would light right up. Bad Homburg Hut (Hat)

  17. Johann Hückel´s Söhne (JHS) Neutitschein Die Stamps, probably early 1900s. These are also from the latest batch (42) of Die Stamps from the Czech Republic. The first one is really fantastic.
  18. Brüder Böhm Neutitschein Die Stamps, probably 1920s. I received another batch (42) of Die Stamps from the Czech Republic about 2 weeks ago but most are not hat company related (still amazing though). These BB Die Stamps are small so might have been used for paper labels.
  19. I discovered the F.J. in the above crest is Franz Josef I Emperor of Austria, King of Hungary, Croatia and Bohemia. This is one of the liner plates from my Czech Republic find. I made this discovery from the above photo that shows the F.J. medal below the F.J. Progress Medal won by Johann Hückel´s Söhne (JHS) at the 1873 Vienna World Expo. Also the same F.J. crest in the center of the Double Eagle. I am fairly certain that the above liner stamp is for JHS. http://www.wikiwand.com/de/Weltausstellung_1873
  20. Mayser "Libelle", 57cm, probably early to mid 1950s. Unique thin ribbon / bow combination. Sold by Wilhelm Zeumer (80 years) of Karlsruhe.
  21. P. & C. Habig Wien "Extra Qualität", 1980. This Silk Top Hat belongs to the grandson (Jonathan) of Victor Böhm. In 1975 P. & C. Habig Wien purchased all the equipment and silk plush stock from the last manufacturer of Silk Top Hats Spoorenberg of Holland. It would be interesting to know what happened to this equipment and silk plush stock (assuming there was any left) when P. & C. Habig went out of business in the late 1980s. http://germanaustrianhats.invisionzone.com/index.php?/topic/5-p-c-habig-hutfabrik/page-4&do=findComment&comment=700
  22. P. & C. Habig Wien "Special", size 59cm, probably late 1950s. This hat belonged to Joseph Böhm owner of Brüder Böhm.
  23. Here are closer images of Victor Böhm's hat manufacturing apprentice certificate (Lehrbrief), issued in 1910 by the Vienna Hatmakers Association (die Genossenschaft der Wiener Hutmacher).
  24. Continued. Victor Böhm's hat manufacturing apprentice certificate (Lehrbrief), issued in 1910 by the Vienna Hatmakers Association (die Genossenschaft der Wiener Hutmacher). Imperial prize certificate awarded to Brüder Böhm at the First International Hunting Exhibition, which was held in Vienna in 1910. Henry Böhm's (Victor's son) compiled a booklet of the history of BB advertisements that appeared in the United States -- primarily in trade journals from the first half of the 20th century. Jonathan sent me a couple of the more interesting pages, including some of the BB logos.
